Ethical Framework for Case Management Practice In-Service Training (URAC - CM 30)

Course Description: 

URAC’s Case Management Standard 30 requires that managed care organizations provide training to its staff, no less than annually, on policies and procedures that support the ethical framework for case management practice.  This training session is designed to review all nine bullet point requirements contained in CM 30.  The training session is also designed to help answer questions about advocacy for client needs and to help provide guidance for professional relationships with clients.

 

Target Audience:

Managed Care Organizations interested in Accreditation and/or Re-Accreditation from URAC in the new Core Standards and Case Management Standards.

 

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the principles of advocacy.

  • Understand the ethical framework guidelines for case management services.

  • Understand situations that can comprise professional objectivity and lead to conflict of interest problems.
