Andrea Clark is a nationally prominent health information management consultant who focuses specifically on outpatient coding and billing systems, charge capture, coding and billing, data integrity and outpatient compliance training services. She is also the President of the Health Revenue Assurance Associates, Inc. Health Revenue Assurance Associates, Inc. is a nation-wide consulting and education group specializing in revenue cycle strategic analysis and compliance focused implementation for hospitals, physicians and free-standing centers. Andrea Clark and our team of industry leaders provide in-depth coding and documentation audits; customized education/certification programs; Ambulatory Payment Classifications (APCs) strategic position and operational assessments; chargemaster/CDM data integrity reviews and updates; seminar speaking engagements. Ms. Clark has over fifteen (15) years of hospital outpatient coding, information systems, operational and compliance training experience which includes hospital based and free standing day surgery sites, emergency room, hospital based clinics, and ancillary diagnostic services areas.

Drawing from her technical expertise and specialized consulting concentration, Ms. Clark has authored and implemented a series of Outpatient Data Integrity programs throughout the country. These programs were developed around the needs of clients to establish and validate the integrity of outpatient data throughout a facility, to assure the reliability and accuracy of services billing under existing and impending outpatient payment systems (APCs) and to assure compliance with Medicare’s hospital reporting requirements.

Ms. Clark is an active speaker and educator who has presented several hundred seminars for state hospital associations, HIMA and HFMA chapters throughout the country on topics related to outpatient coding and charge capture systems, new outpatient payment methodologies (APGs and APCs) and regulatory compliance topics. In 1999 Ms. Clark was selected as the principal speaker on outpatient prospective payment systems (APCs and APGs) at both the American Health Information Management Association and the American Academy of Professional Coders national conventions.

Ms. Clark holds a B.S.. degree in Health Information Sciences from the University of Wisconsin. She is professionally certified by the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Records Administrator (RRA) and by the American Academy of Professional Coders as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) and as a Certified Procedural Coder-Hospital (CPCH). Ms. Clark’s health information management experience includes managerial positions within leading healthcare systems and senior management consultant positions at Ernst & Young and Ingenix/St. Anthony Consulting Group.
